2011-2012 Budget On June 13, 2011, the School Board approved the 2011-2012 School District final budget in the amount of $109,098,908. This budget amount is comprised of $107,186,418 in anticipated spending needed for operations and $1,912,500 for contingencies. Budgeting an amount for contingencies allows the School District to respond to unexpected operational needs without reopening the budget. The 2011-2012 budget includes a property tax increase of 3.77%, or .6774 mills, which will produce $3.22 million in revenue. This tax rate increase translates into an average annual increase of about $171 on an average T/E home assessed at $252,601.
